Box Score MORRIS, Minn. – The Cougars (0-3) dropped their third straight match of the season falling 2-0 to Hamline (3-0) on Saturday afternoon. Minnesota Morris will look to pick up their first win and score their first goal of the season tomorrow as they take on Wisconsin-Superior at 2 p.m.
Hamline started their scoring in the 11
th minute of play Corrine Henning picked up the loose ball in the box and deposited it into the back of the net. The Cougars had a chance to tie the match at one as
Molly Hancuh's header was sent towards the corner of the net but a Piper defender cleared it off the line and kept UMM off the board.
The Pipers doubled their lead in the 35
th minute as Anna Futterer's shot went off a Cougar defender and past the keeper
Morgan Delaney. The game would go into the break with Hamline leading 2-0.
Morris was unable to get much going in the second half offensively as the Pipers stayed in control of the match. Hamline had five shots in the second half but
Morgan Delaney did her best to keep the Pipers off the board in the second half.
