DULUTH, Minn. – The Cougars (4-4, 4-3 UMAC) offense could not hang with St. Scholastica (7-1, 7-0 UMAC), falling 32-7 to the Saints. The Cougars were only able to manage 91 yards of total offense on 61 plays. Three turnovers also hurt Morris.
Willie Fust scored the lone touchdown recovering a CSS fumble and returning the ball 72 yards for a score.
The Morris defense did a good job to hold the Saints to just three offensive scores in the game. In the first quarter Mitch Ejnik returned a punt 60 yards to put the Saints on top 6-0. Midway through the second quarter the Saints added to their lead with a 38 yard pass play. Before the first half ended, a one yard run gave the Saints a 19-0 lead.
Fust scooped and scored with 4:08 left in the third quarter giving the Cougars some life. Early in the fourth Morris found their offense and drove down to the Scholastica 19, looking to make it a one score game. However, on third and 15
Devan Griffin was sacked and fumbled. Ejnik was there again for the Saints and picking up the ball and returning it 79 yards for touchdown, putting the game out of reach.
The Saints would tack on another touchdown with 5:31 left in the game and picked up a 32-7 victory.
Devan Griffin finished the game 15-27 for a 105 yards passing.
JC Cummings had 20 yards on the ground.

Clayton Douvier had 2.5 sacks for the Morris defense.
Colin Everson added two sacks and forced fumble.
Jacob Wirz led the team with 11 tackles.
Next up the Cougars will host Eureka College in their final home game at noon. A win would secure at least a .500 record for Morris in 2015.
