MORRIS, Minn. - The Cougars had two athletes earn UMAC Player of the Week honors this week.
Brooke Decker was named the UMAC Setter of the Week and
Bona Usha was named the UMAC Men's Offensive Player of the Week. In addition, volleyball is in action with two home matches today starting at 4:30 p.m. The men's and women's soccer team will be on the road tomorrow at Martin Luther.
Decker had 119 assists and 43 digs on the week and averaged 10.82 digs per set including 48 in a four set win over Wisconsin-Superior. She also had 26 digs in the match with Concordia-Moorhead.Usha had a pair of goals in the Cougars 6-0 win over Bethany Lutheran this past week.
Women's volleyball will host Crown and Presentation on Tuesday. The Cougars look to improve to 3-0 in UMAC play against the Storm before trying to get some revenge against Presentation after the Saints beat the Cougars in five in Aberdeen. Crown and Presentation will play prior to the Cougars match against Presentation.
Men's soccer is looking to bounce back from a tough 1-0 loss to St. Scholastica on Homecoming. Morris beat the Knights 2-0 earlier this year. They have beaten the Knights nine straight times. The Cougars lead the all-time series 15-3.
Women's soccer is looking to snap a shcool record three match losing streak in UMAC conference play. Morris has beaten Martin Luther 11 straight times, including 6-0 earlier this year. They are 25-0-1 all-time against the Knights.
