ABERDEEN, S.D. – Presentation shot 52.2% from the field to win 100-67 over the Cougars on Tuesday night. Donnell Minton scored 43 points for the Saints, the most by an opponent since Nathan Roeder from North Central scored 51 in 2012.
The Cougars did not shoot badly on the night, finishing the night 25-54 from the field. Presentation forced 24 Cougar turnovers which resulted in 27 points for the Saints. The bright spot for the Cougars was the 39 points from the bench.
Anthony Fisher scored 15 points off the bench to lead the team in scoring.
Presentation opened the game on a 16-4 run and never really looked back. The lead grew to 17 before Morris closed it to within eight at 27-19. That would be as close as the Cougars got in the half and the Saints took a 45-32 lead into the halftime break.
The Saints continued to roll in the second half and pulled away for good with a 16-3 run giving them a 77-47 lead.
CD Douglas added 14 points and
John Haseman added 11 to go with five rebounds.
Morris will try to get some revenge against the Saints next Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the P.E. Center.
