DULUTH, Minn. – For the ninth straight year Minnesota Morris saw their season come to an ended in Duluth, falling 2-0 to St. Scholastica in the UMAC Semi-finals. Morris was unable to get much going offensively, managing just one shot on goal per half.
The Cougars defense was able to keep St. Scholastica off the board through the first 45 minutes of play.
Torri Jordan made four saves to keep the Saints from gaining an early advantage. Minnesota Morris lone shot on goal in the first half came off the boot of
Yu Ito. Scholastica outshot the Cougars 11-2 in the first half.
Once the second half kicked off Scholastica figured out how to score on Jordan and the Cougars. In the 49
th minute Alexi Bopray put CSS on top 1-0. About five minutes later Becca Rancour made it 2-0.
The Saints finished the match outshooting Morris 20-4. Jordan finished with nine saves in the match.
