MORRIS, Minn. – It is a fairly light week for Cougar athletics in the fall with just four midweek contests. It begins with back-to-back soccer matches tomorrow as Minnesota Morris hosts Martin Luther. Men's and women's golf is back in action on Wednesday as they travel to Minneapolis for the Northwestern Invitational.
 
The men's soccer team is looking to win their first match of the year tomorrow when they kickoff at 2 p.m. Morris (0-6, 0-1 UMAC) is hoping to cure their offensive woes against a Knights (2-2) team that has conceded 11 goals in four matches. It will be the first UMAC match for Martin Luther this year.
 
The women's team plays at 4:15 and also faces the Knights. Morris is coming off their first win of the year, a 2-0 victory over Northwestern on Saturday. Martin Luther is 1-3 and enters the match with some confidence after dispatching Finlandia five days ago by an 11-0 scoreline.
 
Men's and women's golf tee off at noon in the Northwestern Invite on Wednesday. This past weekend the women were 1-1 in a pair of duals with Bethany Lutheran. The men fell in a dual with Bethany on Sunday. The Northwestern Invite will give the Cougars their second chance to play in an invitational single day tournament this season.
