MORRIS, Minn. - The Cougars golf program will host the annual Cougar Invite on Thursday at Pomme De Terre Park at 1 p.m. Before Thursday, the Morris athletic program will see two other teams in action, both on the road.
Tomorrow night the volleyball team will take on Presentation in their final non-conference tuneup. The Cougars make the trip to Aberdeen to play the Saints at 7 p.m. Morris will host St. Scholastica this Saturday in the UMAC opener. The Cougars have beat the Saints 11 straight times, nine of those sweeps. The Saints last victory over Morris came during the 2008 season.
The men's soccer team heads to St. Paul to take on Macalester College at 7:30 p.m. It the Cougars only action this week, who have the weekend free of matches before returning to UMAC play next Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran. The Cougars and Scots have not met since 2010, the only meeting in school history between the two squads. The 2010 meeting was played in Morris and ended in a 1-1 tie.
The men's golf team is action on Monday before co-hosting the Cougar Invite along with the women's team.This will be the first time since 2011 in which the tournament will be played at Pomme De Terre after three years of having to play the tournament in Benson.
