MORRIS, Minn. – Wisconsin-Superior (9-2, 4-0 UMAC) pulled away for a 77-64 win over Minnesota Morris (4-6, 2-2 UMAC)) on Saturday evening. The Yellow Jackets forced 22 turnovers and turned them into 33 points.

Cori Becker each had 12 points on the day. 
Minnesota Morris led the Yellow Jackets for most of the first quarter including by as much as eight at 17-9 with 2:39 left in the quarter. Becker had seven of the first nine points for UMM. The Yellow Jackets started the second quarter on a 12-2 run helping them to a 27-22 lead. The game would remain a one or two possession game for the rest of the half. Superior went to the break with a 39-35 lead. 
The Cougars tried to make a comeback early in the third quarter getting as close as three but no closer. A 9-0 run by the Yellow Jackets gave them a 13 point lead with 9:46 left in the contest. Minnesota Morris never recovered and Superior left town with a 13 point win. 
Superior finished the game with 46 points in the paint. Additionally, UWS only turned the ball over 11 times. 
Morris will try to stop a four game skid tomorrow against St. Scholastica tomorrow evening at 5 p.m.
