Box Score 2 MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - A night after a home four-set win over UW-River Falls, the Minnesota Morris volleyball team traveled to Minneapolis for a pair of contests and came back with two straight set wins.
The Cougars moved to 6-0 in UMAC play in their first match of the day against North Central with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-21 win.
Marissa Ekness recorded a double-double in the win with 11 kills and 12 digs.
Layne Herrmann led the team in assists (24), and tied for the team lead in blocks (4), and service aces (2).
Katie Reitsma led with 19 digs and
Bekah Morris added 16.
Late, Minnesota Morris had their way with Trinity Bible College (N.D.) in a 25-10-, 25-11, 25-4 victory and moved their win streak to four.
Minnesota Morris (14-13, 6-0 in UMAC) hosts Northwestern on Wednesday at 7 p.m. with first place in the conference at stake.
