MORRIS, Minn. - In their final home game of the regular season, the Minnesota Morris men's soccer team played a tough non-conference matchup with UW-Whitewater, a team who has made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. The Cougars were in the contest the entire game, but dropped a 1-0 decision.
Cody Christ made four saves in net for the Cougars as the Warhawks sent 14 shots in his direction.
The lone goal game in the 21st minute when Steven Wright's corner went directly to the head of Jamie Wunrow who directed it into the net for the UWW goal.
Minnesota Morris (9-8-1) plays their regular season finale Saturday at UW-Superior for a UMAC contest. The Cougars have already qualified for next week's UMAC Tournament so Saturday's game will determine seeding.
