MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Morris fought back with a second half rally to send the game into overtime, but would fall to North Central, 3-2, in a UMAC men's soccer game in Minneapolis.
North Central led 2-0 at halftime. Two Cougar goals in a four-minute span of the second half knotted the game at 2.
Tristan Balk scored his first collegiate goal in the 69th minute.
John Hoff would also connected for the first time in his career off a feed from
Jake Alessio in the 73rd minute. Alessio tried to get into the scoring column himself in the final minutes, but had two shots saved by the NCU goalkeeper.
The overtime session did not last long as NCU's Josue Boutoul in the third minute of the extra session gave the Rams the win.
Minnesota Morris (0-5-1, 0-1 in UMAC) next plays Tuesday at Martin Luther.
