MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Minnesota Morris men's soccer team hung tough on the road at MIAC-foe Augsburg, but an early second half goal proved to be enough for the Auggies as they topped the Cougars, 1-0.
Freshman
Jake Peterson made his second start in net for the Cougars and made six stops with four coming in a scoreless first half.
Augsburg's goal came in the 50th minute off the foot of Taylor Sullivan. UMM's
John Hoff had a couple of chances for the equalizer in the final ten minutes, but had a shot saved and a shot go wide.
Minnesota Morris (0-4) returns home to host UW-Whitewater Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Cougar Soccer Field.
