MORRIS, Minn. – The Minnesota Morris volleyball team (12-10, 5-0 UMAC) made quick work of North Central (9-11, 1-4 UMAC) Saturday afternoon inside the Cougar Sports Center as the Cougars topped the Rams in three sets (25-2, 25-15, 25-13).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars set the tone early in the first set and went on to capture a 25-2 victory.
- In set two, UMN Morris jumped out to a 7-1 lead and never looked back en route to a 25-15 decision over North Central.
- The Cougars continued to keep things rolling in set three as they scored the first nine points and finished the match with a 25-13 victory.
NOTABLES
- Morgan Miller had a game-high nine kills and she is now 14 kills from 1,000 in her career. Along with her nine kills, Miller recorded five blocks.
- Layne Herrmann tallied a game-high 22 assists, a game-high five aces and four digs on the afternoon.
- The Cougars have won five-straight matches, which includes three-straight sweeps.
UP NEXT
The Cougars travel to New Ulm, Minnesota, to take on Martin Luther on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The match is slated for a 7 p.m. start.
