MOORHEAD, Minn. - The Minnesota Morris volleyball team (9-10) picked up a victory over Concordia (5-13) in four sets (25-14, 18-25, 25-23, 25-15) Tuesday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars cruised to a 25-14 first set victory over the Cobbers. Midway through the first set, UMN Morris used a 9-1 run to take a 15-5 lead over Concordia en route to the opening set win.
- The Cobbers evened up the match at one set apiece with a 25-18 victory in set two. After the Cougars got within one point at 16-15, the Cobbers went on a 9-3 run to take set two.
- Trailing 16-13 in the third set, the Cougars battled back to take a 21-20 lead over the Cobbers. Concordia then took a 23-22 lead before UMN Morris tallied three-straight points to secure set three.
- The fourth set saw the Cougars jump out to a 14-6 lead en route to a 25-15 victory in set four to secure the 3-1 match victory.
