AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The University of Minnesota Morris baseball team (2-5) fell to in-state opponent St. Olaf (7-2) by a score of 13-1 in seven innings on Saturday afternoon.
Brady Jergenson recorded the lone RBI for the Cougars in the top of the fifth.
St. Olaf scored a run in the bottom of the first and never looked back. Holding a 1-0 lead, St. Olaf scored three runs in the third and another one in the fourth.
Trailing 5-0, Jergenson singled to left field to bring home Alex Baumann in the top of the fifth.
St. Olaf then scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take the 13-1 lead.
The Cougars close out their spring break trip with a doubleheader against Colby College on Sunday, March 24. The twinbill gets underway at 10:45 a.m. (EDT)
