ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's volleyball team (2-4) split a pair of matches against MIAC opponents Friday. The Cougars topped Concordia (1-4) in a five-set (28-26, 12-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-5) contest before falling to No. 22 Saint Benedict (5-1) in four sets (27-29, 25-18, 25-12, 25-19).
HOW IT HAPPENED – CONCORDIA RECAP - 3-2, Minnesota Morris
- The Cougars and Cobbers opened up the match with the Cougars prevailing, 28-26. Despite trailing 10-2 early in the first set, Concordia made a run late to make it a two-point lead for Minnesota Morris at 22-20.
- Concordia Moorhead then took the second (25-12) and third (25-21) sets to take a 2-1 lead over UMN Morris.
- Minnesota Morris forced a fifth set with a 25-20 victory in set four.
- It was all Minnesota Morris in the fifth set as the Cougars jumped out to a 9-0 lead en route to a 15-5 win.

- The Cougars took the first set by a score of 29-27.
- Saint Benedict then responded by taking the second set by a score of 25-18.
- In the third set, Saint Benedict picked up a 25-12 win.
