ELLENDALE, N.D. – The UMN Morris men's basketball team (6-12) outscored Trinity Bible by 21 points in the second half en route to a 94-76 victory Tuesday night. Dillon Haider paced the Cougar offense with 19 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Cougars fell into a hole early as the home squad built a 12-point lead.
- The Lions maintained their double-digit lead over the Cougars until five minutes to play in the opening half.
- UMN Morris then brought the game within a point at 37-36 with 3:20 to go.
- After 20 minutes of action, Trinity Bible led UMN Morris, 42-39.
- With 15:28 left in regulation, Jaret Johnson tied things up at 48-all.
- Midway through the second half the Cougars pulled away and built a double-digit lead of their own.
- Down the stretch the Cougars took a 21-point lead and finished things out for the 94-76 victory.
NOTABLES
- Haider was 5-for-13 from the 3-point line.
- Johnson, a freshman, tallied his first-career double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
