MORRIS, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris Intercollegiate Athletics has tabbed Alex Keil to lead the men's and women's tennis programs on an interim basis through the 2021 season. 

Keil, who is also the Interim Director of Athletic Communications this spring, has more than a decade of experience in intercollegiate athletics. After working at the NCAA Division I level for five years, he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Communications for the past six years at Illinois College, a Division III institution. During that time, he also volunteered as an assistant coach with the two tennis programs and had a stint as co-interim head coach.

The season is just around the corner for the two tennis programs. The women's team begins its season on Feb. 20 facing Buena Vista University in Owatonna. The men's and women's programs will then both be in action on Feb. 26 against the University of Dubuque in Lakeville. The UMAC schedule begins with a March 6 match against Crown College, also scheduled for the indoor courts in Lakeville.
