ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris senior kicker Alex Happ was named the UMAC Special Teams Player of the Week for first time in 2023 and the fourth time in his Cougar career on Monday.

In a 24-10 Minnesota Morris road victory at Greenville University, Happ got the Cougars on the board in the first quarter with a 34-yard field goal to cut the team's deficit to 7-3. He later added extra points on each of the three UMN Morris touchdowns as the team came away with a huge UMAC victory.

Now 2-3 (1-0 UMAC) on the year, Minnesota Morris has a bye week coming up before doing battle with Westminster College (Mo.) on Oct. 14 at Big Cat Stadium. The Cougars and Blue Jays will have a 12 p.m. kickoff that afternoon.
