SARTELL, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's tennis team won for the third time in three days at its home away from home, the Sta-Fit in Sartell. On Friday, the Cougars claimed an 8-1 win over Bethany Lutheran College after earlier wins this week over Crown College (9-0) and Martin Luther College (6-3). The Cougars are now 5-4 (4-1 UMAC) on the season.
Minnesota Morris quickly gained control of the match by claiming all three doubles matches. The No. 1 pairing of 
Kiley Rodarmel and 
Allison Bruhn, as well as the No. 2 pairing of 
Abby Burquest and 
Valerie Gall won by scores of 8-2. The No. 3 team of 
Megan Arens and 
Marybeth Tautges took an 8-4 decision.
The Cougars wrapped things up by winning five of the six singles matches. Rodarmel and Burquest both rallied from a set down to win at Nos. 1 and 2. Rodarmel took a 3-6, 6-0, 10-7 decision from Sailor Mohlenbrock at No. 1. Burquest was a 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 winner at No. 2. Bruhn took her match at No. 3 singles from Kaitlyn Berreau, 6-3, 6-0. At No. 4, Gall took an easy 6-1, 6-2 match from Elisssa Moonen. Arens recorded a 6-3, 6-2 win over Hannah LeMay at No. 5. The lone point for the Vikings came at No. 6 where Addi Quern outlasted Tautges by a score of 6-4, 6-4.
Minnesota Morris continues UMAC play on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match against Martin Luther College. Due to the expected poor weather in the region, this match has moved away from New Ulm and will now be played indoors in Owatonna, Minn.
