MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's tennis team wasted as little time as possible in cold and windy conditions on Wednesday morning, quickly putting away Crown College by a score of 9-0 to move to 6-5 (5-2 UMAC).
In doubles play, the No. 1 team of 
Kiley Rodarmel and 
Allison Bruhn took an 8-1 decision. The No. 2 team of 
Abby Burquest and 
Megan Arens, as well as the No. 3 team of 
Marybeth Tautges and 
Ava Weber won by scores of 8-0.
Wins for Rodarmel (6-1, 6-1) and Arens (6-0, 6-0) at Nos. 1 and 4 clinched the victory for Minnesota Morris. From there, the Cougars tacked on 6-1, 6-1 wins from Burquest at No. 2 and Bruhn at No. 3. Weber was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 5 and Tautges capped it off with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 6 singles.
Minnesota Morris continues play in St. Paul on Saturday. The Cougars will face the University of Northwestern at 10 a.m. and then take on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls at 1 p.m.
