MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris baseball team is set to kick off Homecoming Weekend with its first-ever Cougar Baseball Golf Outing on Friday, Sept. 8. The event will take place at the Minnewaska Golf Club in Glenwood, with registration opening at 11 a.m. and tee times slated for 12 p.m.
The Cougar Baseball Golf Outing is designed to bring together Cougar Baseball alumni, families, and friends with current Cougar Baseball players. Any Cougar Baseball supporter is eligible and encouraged to participate in the golf outing.
The cost to participate is $150 for an individual or $600 for a four-person team. That registration fee includes a Cougar snapback hat, two Cougar poker chip ball markers, pizza, and range balls. There will also be prizes from the pro shop and the Minnesota Morris book store, among others.
Sponsorships are also available for the event.
The golf outing will serve as a lead-in to a busy weekend of events at Minnesota Morris. Saturday's action includes a Hall of Fame induction ceremony brunch and a tripleheader of home sporting events. On Sunday, the baseball team hosts an alumni game at Chizek Field starting at 11:30 a.m.
