ST. PAUL, Minn. – University of Minnesota Morris junior running back
Izayah Boss was rewarded with the UMAC Offensive Player of the Week honor on Monday after setting a career high with 228 yards in Saturday's 38-22 win for the Cougars at Lawrence University.
Boss had already had an incredible day entering the fourth quarter, but his touchdown runs of two yards and 74 yards increased the UMN Morris lead from 24-14 to 38-14 to lock up the first Cougar victory of the year. Boss also had a 54-yard rush earlier in the game as he found his way to the edge often against the Viking defense.
Minnesota Morris will look to make it two straight on Saturday when the team opens UMAC action at Greenville University. Kick-off at Greenville High School is set for 12 p.m.
