MORRIS, Minn. - A defensive back for the University of Minnesota Morris Football team, Garza has been named as UMAC Special Teams Athlete of the week for this incredible performance against the University of Northwestern Oct. 19.

Garza came away from the UMAC Game of the Week with two punts on the Cougar's special teams, totaling up 54 yards and earning him this weekly award. In addition to his work on special teams, Garza also scored an 87-yard touchdown for the Cougars on a blocked field goal return. This served as the second touchdown for Minnesota Morris on the day.

Garza showed his athletic ability on the defensive end of the field with six tackles and a pass breakup to go along with his punts and touchdown. The performance from Garza over the weekend more than earns him this award and recognition.

The Cougars will play at home Oct. 26 in a 12 pm kickoff against Greenville University. Garza looks to continue his impressive performances on the field in this third home game of the season.
