MORRIS, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Morris Women's Soccer program has placed four athletes on All-UMAC teams at the conclusion of the 2024 season.
Nagbe, an academic sophomore from Spring Lake Park, Minn., making her collegiate debut for the Cougars, has earned the title of Rookie of the Year and carved her place in the Second Team All-Conference lineup. Nagbe played in eleven games and made nine starts on the season. In her eleven games played Nagbe scored four goals in seventeen attempts, shooting at a clip of 0.567 percent. Two of her goals came in the Cougar's first matchup against the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Nagbe's first game taking the pitch for Minnesota Morris. She added two assists to her stat line to come away from the season with ten points.
Toth and Chinavare earned All-Conference Honorable Mentions for their performances on the pitch this season. Toth, a senior from Phoenix, Ariz., started all sixteen games for the Cougars and totaled up 1,396 minutes on the season. With a total shots on goal percentage of 0.413, Toth found the back of the net four times in nineteen attempts. She also earned two assists for ten points on the year. Chinavare is another athlete who made her collegiate debut for the Cougars, hailing from Hopkins, Minn. She played in sixteen games this season, making fifteen starts and playing 1,214 minutes. Chinavare scored one goal, shooting an impressive 0.545 at the net for Minnesota Morris.
Sophia Montoya, a junior from Worthington, Minn., was named as an All-Sportsmanship recipient for the 2024 season.
