Hunter Glenn Promoted to Offensive Coordinator

Glenn takes the place of Kevin Burke following three seasons as Wide Receivers Coach for the Cougars.

MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris football team has announced the promotion of Hunter Glenn to the role of Offensive Coordinator beginning with the upcoming 2024 season.

"I am so excited to promote Coach Glenn to Offensive Coordinator," said Head Coach Marty Hoffmann. "I have seen first-hand his passion for this program and his love for the players. He is a student of the game and has developed a great football mind. I'm excited to see him excel in his new role."

Joining the program in 2021, Glenn has been on the Minnesota Morris coaching staff for the past three seasons as Wide Receivers Coach. During that time, the program has never finished below .500 and has compiled an overall record of 13-4 in UMAC play, including a 5-0 mark in 2023 that gave the Cougars their first trip to the postseason in more than four decades.

Glenn will succeed Kevin Burke in the Offensive Coordinator role. Burke was hired as the Head Coach at Wilmington College – a NCAA Division III school in Ohio – during the offseason.

"I'm excited and thankful for the opportunity that Matt Johnson and Marty Hoffmann provided for me to take on this new position," said Glenn. "I also want to thank Coach Burke for helping prepare me to be a coordinator and spending countless hours teaching me all he could. I'd also like to thank my fiancée, Jade, and our families for the support they've given to make this job a reality! We have done great things here at Morris over the past few years and I would like to continue to build on that. We have big goals next year, and I can't wait to get started this spring with the players. Every day I get to work here at Morris is a blessing, and I love getting to work with the other coaches and players!"

Following four years as a student coach at Presbyterian College where Glenn earned degrees in Business Administration and Management in 2015, he has had stops at Greensboro College, Northern Guilford High School, and with the Lodz Wolves of the Polish League of American Football. He also completed a graduate assistantship at Wingate University, an NCAA Division II school in North Carolina. There, he coached wide receivers for two seasons, while also handling responsibilities with running backs and specialists for one season.
