MORRIS, Minn. – Chayce Meyer of the University of Minnesota Morris football team has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for Week Six of the 2025 season, as announced Tuesday, Oct. 14. Meyer becomes the first Cougar to earn the recognition twice.

Earlier today, Meyer was also named UMAC Defensive Player of the Week. In the game at Westminster College, Meyer made his presence felt at the line of scrimmage. The defensive end tallied a career-high four sacks, pushing the offense back 21 yards. In addition to the four sacks, Meyer recorded seven total tackles — five solo and two assisted.

This marks the fifth time Minnesota Morris has been represented on the D3football.com Team of the Week, with Meyer accounting for two of those honors. His first selection came in Week Eight of the 2022 season. This also marks the second consecutive week that UMM has been represented, with
Gregory Ohman earning the honor last week.

The football team returns home on Oct. 18 to host the University of Northwestern, with kickoff set for noon at Big Cat Stadium.
