MORRIS, Minn. –  The University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team returns to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play on Saturday, hosting the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 12 p.m.

The Cougars come into the weekend following a thrilling non-conference win over the College of St. Scholastica, 3-2 (22-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-15, 15-8).
Mary Cate Ziembiec led the offense with a career-high 21 kills, earning UMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Anna Molstad followed with 12 kills, while
Lexi Coon anchored the defense with a career-high 30 digs, earning UMAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition. At the net, the Cougars tallied four blocks, led by
Braxtyn Meyer with three.

Offensively, Ziembiec continues to lead the team with 161 kills, ranking third in the UMAC.
Ella Johnson and
Bella Nelson have also surpassed the 100-kill mark, with 119 and 114 kills, respectively.
Clara Holden leads the team in assists with 349, while
Allison Dornseif has contributed 185. On the serve, Minnesota Morris tops the UMAC with 2.37 aces per set. Holden ranks second individually in the conference with 37 aces.

Defensively, Coon leads the team with 287 digs, ranking second in the conference. Ziembiec (180), Holden (168), and Johnson (162) have also made key defensive contributions. At the net,
Tori Scheler leads the Cougars with 40 blocks, and Meyer has added 26.

UW-Superior enters the weekend with a 14-7 overall record and sits second in the UMAC at 3-1. Head coach Lynne Deadrick is in her 23rd season with the Yellowjackets. Although UWS did not compete last week, they ride a four-match winning streak into Morris. In their most recent contest, they swept Martin Luther College 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-21). Makenna Hohbein leads the Yellowjackets offensively with 299 kills, ranking second in the conference, while Savanna Hering leads the UMAC with 372 digs.
