MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team enters the penultimate week of the regular season as they continue Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) play with a pair of games. The Cougars start the week at Bethany Lutheran College with a 4:30 p.m. kickoff on Tuesday, followed by a 1 p.m. home match on Saturday against the University of Wisconsin-Superior at Cougar Field.

The Cougars extended their winning streak to four after defeating Crown College 1-0 in their only match last week. The win improves their UMAC record to 4-3-1, placing them fourth in the standings as the regular season winds down.

CJ Frear-Boerner earned her fourth clean sheet of the season, making two saves.

Brianna Ganske leads the Cougars with 11 points on the season, coming from five goals and one assist. Toth follows with three goals and one assist, while
Hope Berscheit rounds out the top three with three goals for six points. In goal, Frear-Boerner has totaled 97 saves and four shutouts.

Bethany Lutheran currently sits second in the UMAC with a conference record of 6-2-1 and an overall record of 6-6-2. Last week, the Vikings defeated Martin Luther College 2-0 before falling to the University of Northwestern 3-0. Elena Luján Rubio leads BLC with 12 goals, ranking second in the conference. She also leads the UMAC with 31 points from 12 goals and seven assists. Goalkeeper Arayah Baker has made 12 starts, totaling 82 saves and three shutouts.

The University of Wisconsin-Superior is third in the conference at 5-0-3, with an overall record of 6-5-4. Last week, the Yellowjackets tied Crown 0-0 and then lost to St. Catherine University 2-0 in a nonconference match. Niamh Larson leads UWS in scoring with seven goals and five assists. Goalkeeper Quinn Clark has started 13 games, recording 65 saves, a .813 save percentage, and six shutouts.
