MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the 2025–26 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, announced Thursday.
"We are excited to get the season rolling," said Associate Head Coach
Taylor Holleman. "Our season starts with a tough non conference schedule that will prepare us for UMAC action. We have a lot of returners back that played key roles for us last year, in addition to some newcomers that will have an immediate impact!"
The Cougars are coming off a UMAC Regular Season Championship. UMM finished the season with a 13-13 overall record and went 10-4 in UMAC play to claim the top spot in the conference. Head Coach
Paul Grove was named UMAC Coach of the Year after guiding the team to the title.
Carvin Fish, who led the Cougars in rebounds last season and was third on the team in scoring, returns for his sophomore campaign.
Minnesota Morris opens the season on Nov. 7, hosting the College of St. Scholastica at 7 p.m. at James Gremmels Court.
