ST. PAUL, Minn. – Five members of the University of Minnesota Morris men's soccer team earned Upper Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference honors, highlighted by senior
Aaron Mackall being named UMAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Â
"I am very proud of this group and excited that five of our players have been recognized by the UMAC with these honors," said head coach
Blake Ordell. "It shows the forward progress that our program is making, and I am excited to see the new heights we reach in the future."
Â
Mackall was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned All-Conference First Team honors. He is the first Cougar to earn Player of the Year recognition since Ebrima Badgie in 2013. The senior forward led the conference with 16 goals and added three assists for 35 points. His 16 goals rank third all-time in a single season at UMM. During his dominant run, Mackall was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week five times, the most in conference history.
Â
"AJ winning Offensive Player of the Year is massive for him and our program," said Ordell. "He has aspirations to play at the next level, and this will help him achieve those goals. He had an incredible season with 16 goals and broke the conference record for most UMAC Player of the Week honors in a single season. It has been so much fun watching AJ's development over the past four years and seeing him grow into the player and young man he is now."
Â
Nick Isensee also earned UMAC All-Conference First Team honors. The senior goalkeeper finished the season with 108 saves, six wins, four shutouts, and a .720 save percentage. He was named UMAC Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2025. The Shakopee, Minn., native leaves a lasting mark on UMM history after breaking the program's all-time saves record, finishing with 362.
Â
"Nick being recognized as the top keeper in our conference and earning First Team All-Conference is well deserved," stated Ordell. "His work rate and leadership behind the scenes are an inspiration to his teammates. He even played through a knee injury, delaying surgery until after the season, showing his toughness and desire to be part of the program in his senior year. Nick broke save records both this season and last and has shown our younger keepers what it takes to reach his level."

First-year student-athlete
Jake Anargyros was named UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. He finished second on the team with 10 goals, ranking fourth in the conference. The Aurora, Ill., native earned UMAC Offensive Player of the Week once this season. He tallied 33 shots on goal, scored two game-winning goals, and went a perfect 4-for-4 on penalty kicks.
Â
"Jake had a breakout season as a freshman, finishing fourth in the conference in goals and points," said Ordell. "I am surprised he only received Honorable Mention, but this will make him even hungrier next year to get the recognition he deserves."
Â
Jacob Lee earned his first All-Conference honor, being named Honorable Mention. The senior midfielder and team captain started all 18 matches for the Cougars, totaling 1,491 minutes. He finished with seven shots on goal.
Â
"Jacob was the heart of our team," Ordell said. "His work rate on and off the pitch is both intimidating and inspiring. He left everything out there, sometimes almost crawling off the pitch. Jacob pushed the team forward with inspirational speeches and backed it up by going into every tackle and 50-50 ball with everything he had."
Â
Cade Simonson earned UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention for the second time in his career. The junior defender started all 18 matches and led the Cougars in field minutes with 1,526. A team captain, he anchored the backline and recorded one assist on the season.
Â
"Cade was our most consistent player, locking down opponents and initiating our attack from the back," said Ordell. "He stepped into a leadership role as a junior captain and played nearly every minute of every match. His drive to improve every day will make him a strong contender for First Team All-Conference next year."
Â
Chann Piseth was named to the UMAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
