ST. PAUL, Minn. – Mary Cate Ziembiec and Lexi Coon of the University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team were named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athletes of the Week for the period of Oct. 27–Nov. 2, as announced Tuesday, Nov. 4.
 
Mary Cate Ziembiec led the Cougars offensively in the final home games of the 2025 season to earn her second career UMAC Offensive Player of the Week award. The senior outside hitter totaled 33 kills, including 16 against Martin Luther College while hitting .406 on Senior Day. Ziembiec also finished the week with 17 digs and five blocks.
 
Lexi Coon earned her third UMAC Defensive Player of the Week honor in just her first season with the team. Coon tallied 50 digs over the week, with a career-high 32 coming against Bethany Lutheran College. The first-year libero also added seven assists and one kill.
 
The volleyball team closes out the regular season on Friday as they travel to the University of Wisconsin–Superior for a 7 p.m. start.
