Aaron Mackall Academic All-American Men's Soccer First Team

Mackall Named CSC Academic All-American

GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators has announced that Aaron Mackall of the University of Minnesota Morris men's soccer team has been named to the Academic All-American First Team, as voted on and announced Tuesday, Dec. 16.
 
College Sports Communicators (formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America) began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952. Since then, the organization has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete recognition.
 
To qualify for this award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 and must have competed in 90 percent of games during the season or started in at least 66 percent of them.
 
Mackall is the first Cougar men's soccer player to receive CSC Academic All-American honors. He is also the first Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) men's soccer player to be recognized since the 2022 season. Mackall is also the fourth student-athlete from Minnesota Morris to win this award.
 
The senior forward majored in psychology during his time at UMM and holds a 3.89 GPA. Mackall was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Year, earned UMAC First Team All-Conference honors, was selected to the All-Region Fourth Team, and received UMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors five times during the 2025 season. The Nerstrand, Minn., native led the Cougars in scoring with 16 goals, the third-most in a single season in program history. He also added three assists and recorded three game-winning goals.
