MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team enters its final week of non-conference play as it hosts Hamline University on Thursday at 5 p.m., followed by a 5 p.m. kickoff at the University of Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday.

The Cougars had a busy stretch with three games last week. UMM began by hosting Martin Luther College, where they fell 5-3.
Hope Berscheit scored the first goal of the season for the Cougars and added a second.
Brianna Ganske netted her first collegiate goal in the loss. In the following game, Ganske scored twice to lead Minnesota Morris to a 2-1 victory over Buena Vista University.

The Cougars' five goals this season have come from Ganske (3) and Berscheit (2).
Emma Buzinec and
Abigail Oxborough each earned their first collegiate point last week by assisting on a goal.
Bella Toth and
Johnette Nagbe have led the team in shots on goal with 10 and eight, respectively. In goal,
CJ Frear-Boerner has started every game and recorded 38 saves.

Hamline is 1-1-2 after the first two weeks of the season. The Pipers' two most recent games ended in draws—first 2-2 against Central College, then 0-0 against the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Hamline has scored five goals this season, each by a different player. Addyson Barrett and Christin Broyles lead the team in points, each with three from a goal and an assist. Maddox Fergus has started all four games in goal and has totaled 21 saves.

UW-Stout is 2-1-1 early in the season. Last week, the Blue Devils lost 5-1 to St. Catherine University, then bounced back with a 1-0 win over the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Kayla White has scored three of the team's four goals, with Tessa Pagel netting the fourth. Kristen Silenzi has played every minute in goal, making 17 saves.
