MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris football team hosts Crown College to kick off Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play Saturday night at 6 p.m. for Homecoming.

The Cougars are coming off their first win of the season, defeating Buena Vista 30-28.
Damaris Fields sealed the game with his second blocked field goal attempt. His efforts earned him UMAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week honors. Minnesota Morris rushed for 178 yards, with
Tyler Monson and
Sean-Keley Chinanga leading the way with 93 and 92 yards, respectively. The duo both found the end zone.
Bryson Drake totaled 193 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Chinanga and
Manny Guy each caught a touchdown pass. With his two-touchdown game, Chinanga was named UMAC Offensive Player of the Week. Defensively, Derek Dohmen totaled a team-high eight tackles, with
Mogie Walkingstick and
Arian Saenz following with seven each. UMM had one takeaway, an interception by
Jackson Viemeister.

The offense has gone through Drake, who has totaled 507 passing yards and seven touchdowns. Guy leads the team with 10 receptions for 110 yards and three touchdowns.
Dylan Shafer follows with 103 receiving yards.
Jacob Wilmes has two touchdown receptions. Monson and Chinanga lead the rushing attack with 138 and 133 yards, respectively, and each has a rushing touchdown.

Defensively, Saenz paces the team with 34 tackles, including 22 solo tackles. Dohmen follows with 26. The Cougars have gotten to the quarterback twice, with
Dylan Young recording a sack and Dohmen and
Jesse Davies Jr. combining on one. Saenz and Viemeister each have an interception, while Young has forced two fumbles and Davies Jr. has one.

Crown enters with a 2-1 record after winning its last game 13-9 against Martin Luther College. Anthony Franz is in his sixth season as the head football coach. Zach Brown has totaled 347 passing yards with a pair of touchdowns. Judah Davis leads the ground game with 135 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Nathan Tomlinson has totaled 30 tackles and four pass breakups to lead the team. He also has the team's lone forced fumble, while Brian Amune Jr. has an interception.
