COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's track & field team competed in its first outdoor meet of the season at the Optimistic Meet in Collegeville, Minn., on Saturday.
On the track,
Daniel Decory started things off for UMM in the 1,500 meters.
Hayden Charboneau followed with a 10th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles. In the 400 meters,
Tyler Franke set a new personal best with a time of 57.29.
Jerome Thomas III added an 11th-place finish in the 100 meters.
Noah Johnson led the Cougars in the 800 meters with a 13th-place performance.
In the field events,
Thomas Finneran-Flyckt recorded a team-best throw in the hammer throw.
William Urch led UMM in the javelin.
Lucas Tauber had the best throw for the Cougars in the shot put with a distance of 11 meters.
The Cougars will compete next on April 3 at the Stomper Open in Mankato, Minn.
