LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as a recipient of the 2025 AVCA Team Academic Award announced July 23.
 
To qualify for the honor, a team must post a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. In 2025–26, 1,432 teams earned the award, with the Cougars recording a team GPA of 3.56 to claim their seventh consecutive AVCA Team Academic Award and the 10th in program history.
 
Eleven members of the Cougar volleyball team earned UMAC Academic All-Conference honors last winter. Three student-athletes maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the 2025–26 academic year.
