MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Women's Soccer team was ranked fourth in the 2026 Upper Midwest Athlete Conference Coaches Poll announced on Monday.
"I'm very excited for the season," said interim head coach
Colin Kaurich. "We have a great group who put in a lot of work in the off season. We're ready to go out there and play some Cougar Soccer!"
The Cougars made their first playoff appearance for the first time in five seasons last year. Minnesota Morris went 4-6-2 in the conference. UMM returns four UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention athletes:
CJ Frear-Boerner,
Brianna Ganske,
Caitlin Lau, and
Talalupe Levale. In her first year with the Cougars, Ganske led the team in points with 11 with five goals and one assist. In goal, Frear-Boerner made 121 saves and had a save percentage of .672.
The Cougars start their season on Sept. 1 with a road game at Concordia College (Minn.) at 2:30 p.m.
