MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Men's Soccer team was slated fourth in the 2026 Upper Midwest Athlete Conference Coaches Poll announced on Tuesday. Head Coach Blake Ordell enters his third season leading the program.
"This is an exciting time for our soccer program, as we welcome the largest incoming class in school history," said Ordell. "The increased depth has created healthy competition for playing time and is helping us build a strong internal culture of competitiveness. This competitive environment will challenge our players to continually improve and, ultimately, position our program to be more successful and competitive in conference play."
The Cougars are coming off a 6-9-3 season and were 4-6-2 in the UMAC. Minnesota Morris returns two UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention athletes in
Jake Anargyros and
Cade Simonson. Anargyros in his first season with UMM finished second on the team with 25 points on 10 goals and five assists. Simonson captained the team and finished with the second most field minutes in his junior season.
The Cougars start their season on Sept. 1 with a road game at Concordia College (Minn.) at 5 p.m.
