MORRIS, Minn. – Greg Ohman of the University of Minnesota Morris football and track and field teams has been nominated by the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference for the Division III Commissioners Association (D3CA) Men's Sport Student-Athlete of the Year award.
The award honors graduating student-athletes who have excelled in academics, athletics, leadership, and service. Only graduating seniors (or graduated student-athletes who have not been nominated previously) are eligible for the award.
The male and female regional award winners will be announced later this month. Those individuals will then be forwarded to the Awards Committee for national consideration.
This marks the fourth year of the national award. Ohman becomes the second Minnesota Morris student-athlete to receive the nomination, joining Cody Nye, who was the program's first nominee in 2022-23.
During his time at UMN Morris, Ohman earned numerous athletic and academic honors while dedicating countless hours to serving his community. His accomplishments include induction into Chi Alpha Sigma (the National College Athlete Honor Society), seven Dean's List selections, nine Academic All-Conference honors, eight CSC Academic All-District selections, three All-Conference honors, and D3football.com Third Team All-Region recognition.
