MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris Men's Soccer team starts the 2026 season with three contests in the opening week.
The Cougars start the campaign at Concordia College on Tuesday at 5 p.m. UMN Morris will then host St. John's University and Buena Vista University at 3 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, respectively.

The Cougars are coming off a 6-9-3 season and went 4-6-2 in the UMAC. Minnesota Morris returns two UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention athletes in
Jake Anargyros and
Cade Simonson. Anargyros, in his first season with UMM, finished second on the team with 25 points on 10 goals and five assists. Simonson captained the team and finished with the second-most field minutes during his junior season. Head coach Blake Ordell begins his third season with the program.
Concordia College went 0-13-4 last season and starts the 2026 season against Minnesota Morris. Nick Zuchowski begins his first season as the head coach of the team. Ricco Rolle led the Cobbers last season with three goals and one assist and returns for his senior season. CC graduated its starting goalkeeper. Last season, the Cougars and Cobbers played to a 3-3 draw. Anargyros scored the tying goal in the final five minutes of the game.
St. John's finished last season 13-5-3 overall. The Johnnies start the season on Sept. 1 before playing Minnesota Morris. Head coach Tudor Flintham is in his second season with the program. Ronan O'Connor paced the team with 50 points on 20 goals and 10 assists as a sophomore. Cole Hanson and Austin Ertel split time in net for the Johnnies.
Buena Vista went 5-11-1 during the 2025 season. Kelsey Resnick is in his fourth season leading the soccer program. The Beavers lost their top three leading scorers and starting goalkeeper. BVU brought in six first-year athletes. Last season, the Beavers defeated UMM 1-0.
