MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's soccer team kicks off Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on Wednesday as they travel to Bethany Lutheran College for a 7 p.m. contest. On Saturday, the Cougars will then host the University of Wisconsin-Stout for a 4:30 p.m. game.

Last week, the Cougars went 0-1-1. In their first game, they tied Mount Marty University 0-0. Minnesota Morris had great looks on goal but was unable to convert. Dutch Bullock recorded his second shutout of the season, making eight saves. In the following game, UMM was defeated by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Bullock made another three saves in the contest.
 
Jake Anargyros scored the team's lone goal to lead the Cougars with two points. Luis Mendez assisted on the goal to earn a point in the season opener. Anargyros also leads the team in shots. In goal, Bullock has tallied 25 saves. Zander Kuhfeld has made one appearance, making four saves.
 
Bethany Lutheran enters conference play with a record of 1-4-1. The Vikings are currently on a three-game losing streak, dropping their most recent contest 7-1 to No. 3 St. Olaf College. Derick Lyngholm is in his eighth season as the head coach of BLC. Rosalem Tendaie leads the team in points with seven on three goals and one assist. In goal, Brady Price started five games, making 24 saves.
 
UW-Stout holds a 2-1-1 record. In their most recent contest, the Blue Devils drew Central College 2-2 last Saturday. Head coach Cole Schwartz is in his second season with the program. Logan Bergien leads the team in points with six on two goals and two assists. Trey White matches Bergien with two goals as the Blue Devils' leading scorer. Lucas Biederman and Eddie Puglisi have split time in goal, each playing two games.
