ST. PAUL, Minn. – Sella Fleming of the University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team was named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athlete of the Week for the period of Sept. 7–13, as announced Tuesday, Sept. 15.
For the second consecutive week, Fleming earned UMAC Setter of the Week honors. The first-year setter helped lead the Cougars to a 2-1 weekend at the St. Paul Classic. Over the three matches, Fleming tallied 110 assists, including 45 assists against Carleton College, setting a new career high. The Hawley, Minn., native also recorded 33 digs, 12 kills, four aces, and two blocks.
The volleyball team has its first home matches of the season this weekend as the Cougars host the Minnesota Morris Quad. The first match is Friday at 3 p.m. against Martin Luther College.
