MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris women's soccer team fell 4-0 to the University of Wisconsin-Stout in its final nonconference game of the season Saturday afternoon in Morris, Minn.
The Blue Devils had control of the game early, recording their first shot just over three minutes into the contest.
Mackenzie Dolata made an early save, but UWS found the back of the net in the 14th minute. The lead grew to two in the 30th minute.
Ashlynn Pollreisz recorded the first Cougar shot of the half, but the score remained 2-0 going into halftime.
Abby Stewart started in net for the second half for Minnesota Morris and was tested early, making three saves in the first 10 minutes. The Blue Devils netted their third and fourth goals to take a 4-0 victory.
Madysen Johnson had a shot from deep that the keeper saved.
Johnson and Pollreisz each recorded a shot in the contest. Dolata made nine saves in 78 minutes, while Stewart had three saves in just under 12 minutes of action.
The Cougars return to Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play on Tuesday as they host Martin Luther College at 2 p.m.
