ST. PAUL, Minn. – Sella Fleming of the University of Minnesota Morris volleyball team and Sean-Keley Chinanga and Damaris Fields of the Cougar football team were named Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Athletes of the Week for the period of Sept. 14–20, as announced Tuesday, Sept. 22.
 
Fleming earned her third UMAC Setter of the Week honor in as many weeks. At the Minnesota Morris Quad, the first-year setter tallied 101 assists across three matches. Fleming also recorded 27 digs, 10 kills, two blocks, and two service aces.
 
Chinanga earned his first career UMAC Offensive Player of the Week award. The junior running back totaled 92 rushing yards, including a rushing touchdown. In the fourth quarter, Chinanga caught a 17-yard touchdown pass for the game-winning score, helping lead UMM to a 30-28 victory.
 
Fields was named UMAC Special Teams Athlete of the Week. In a two-point game, Fields came up huge by blocking two field goal attempts. In the final seconds of the game, the Sioux Falls, S.D., native got to the ball again, sealing the Cougars' first win of the season.
 
The volleyball team is back in action tonight (Tuesday) as it travels to Crown College for a 7 p.m. match.
 
The football team has its bye week coming up but will play next on Oct. 3 against Crown for Homecoming at 6 p.m.
