MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris men's soccer team continues Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play this week with a home-and-away schedule. The Cougars start the week at the University of Northwestern on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. kickoff, followed by hosting North Central University on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Minnesota Morris earned its first conference point last week after a 1-1 draw with Martin Luther College.
Luis Mendez scored his first collegiate goal in the draw. In the following game, UMM was bested by the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Across the week,
Dutch Bullock made six saves.
Jake Anargyros leads the team in scoring and points with two goals and an assist. Mendez,
Patrick Bednarczyk,
Karson Busch, and Angel "Bam" Leon Perez have all found the back of the net this season. Also earning a point this season are
Evan Karki and
Nehemiah Zappetta, who have each recorded an assist. Bullock has started all eight games in net, totaling 41 saves.
Northwestern holds a 2-7 overall record and is 0-3 in conference play. Last week, the Eagles were defeated 6-0 by UW-Superior and 1-0 by Martin Luther. Head coach Greg Wheaton is in his 27th season leading the program. Josiah Mezey leads the team in scoring with three goals, with Joe Nyagaka following with two. Logan Hutzenbiler and Isaac Johnson have each started four games in net, making 15 and 24 saves, respectively.
North Central enters with a 1-7 overall record and is 1-2 in the UMAC. Last week, the Rams went 0-2, falling 11-1 in a nonconference game against Saint John's University and 3-0 to Bethany Lutheran College. Keith Bleyer is in his third season leading the men's soccer team. David Ajayi leads the team with four goals. Alex Gianikas has made six starts in net, making 41 saves.
