MORRIS, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Morris football team will open the 2026 season by hosting Concordia University Chicago on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Big Cat Stadium.

The Cougars are coming off a 3-7 season in 2025. In the UMAC, Minnesota Morris finished tied for third with a conference record of 3-4. In the UMAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Cougars were selected sixth. Head Coach Marty Hoffmann enters his ninth season at the helm.
 
Minnesota Morris returns two All-Conference athletes in Juan "JT" Garza III and Dylan Young. Garza earned First Team honors as a defensive back and punt returner and Second Team honors as a kick returner. Young earned Second Team honors as a defensive lineman. Last season, the Cougars had the third-most rushing yards in the conference, led by Sean-Keley Chinanga.
 
Concordia University Chicago is coming off a 4-6 season in 2025. The Cougars return starting quarterback Colton Bosch for his senior season. Last year, he totaled 1,623 yards and 19 touchdowns. Head Coach Chase Hankins enters his third season leading the program.
 
This will be the second meeting between the programs. Last year, CUC took a 17-16 victory. Arian Saenz led the defense with 12 tackles.
