Kyle Hastings joined the UMN Morris baseball program staff as a student-assistant coach in September 2019. Hastings needs no introduction to Cougar Nation as he was a four-year member of the Cougar baseball team (2016-19).
Hastings appeared in 21 games on the mound in his career, leading the pitching staff in appearances in 2019. That season he also received All-UMAC Academic Honors.
In addition to Hastings’ coaching responsibilities, he is also the Director of Baseball Operations.
Outside of Cougar baseball, Hastings is a Pitching Coach for Starters Sports Training.
A native of Circle Pines, Minnesota, Hastings attended Centennial High School. He is in the process of completing his degree in secondary education with an emphasis in mathematics from the University of Minnesota Morris.
