Nate Haseman

After wrapping up his four-year career as a player in the maroon and gold in 2011, Nate Haseman became a member of the coaching staff in 2012.

Haseman spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons working out of the bullpen as a middle reliever and made the jump to starter as a junior in 2010.  His senior season ERA of 3.45, which is the lowest of any UMM pitcher since 2002, helped the Cougars to their second best conference record since joining the UMAC.  He earned his first UMAC Pitcher of the Week Honor as a senior as well, throwing a two hit shut out and a career high seven strikeouts, leading Morris to a 2-0 win over Northland. He graduated that spring with a bachelor’s degree in Social Science and Secondary Education.

In 2013, Haseman was promoted to Head Assistant and Pitching coach under the regime of first year head coach, Grant Harding.  He is happily married to his college sweetheart, Britta (Anderson) Haseman and has a son, Henry, who serves as the Cougar’s honorary batboy at home games.
