Nic Olney

Nic Olney joins the Minnesota Morris football program for his first season as offensive line and tight ends coach after over 20 years coaching experience in Colorado at the Division III and high school levels.

A football coach for over two decades, Olney brings extensive coaching experience to Cougar football. Primarily being a head high school coach, Olney has rebuilt and built three programs from losing to winning programs including building a program from initial conception to undefeated in just 4 years and no losing seasons during that time.  Further, this knowledge and experience has allowed him to coach a variety of position groups and coordinator roles as well. 

His influence on different teams and programs has allowed for him to be recognized at the national and local levels:

Olney earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005. In 2014, he graduated from Adams State University with Education Leadership credentials as well as a Master of Arts in Human Performance with emphasis in Coaching in 2011.  Prior to this, Olney received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University in 2007. 

Olney played Offensive Line at Colorado College in Colorado Springs from 1999-2001. Olney is a member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and currently resides in Morris with his son and current Cougar football player, Todd.
